Thompson & Bryan are pleased to announce the early settlement of the National Motorcycle Museum's substantial claim following the devastating fire on 16th September 2003

Thompson & Bryan are pleased to announce the early settlement of one of the UK's largest claims to occur over the last year. On the 16th September 2003 a devastating fire hit the National Motorcycle Museum in Bickenhill, Birmingham knocking out the museum itself aswell as much of the Conferencing and Banqueting facilities. Following the early appointment of Thompson & Bryan an intensive programme of site survey, meetings and analysis work took place in conjunction with Crawfords Loss Adjusters and the insured's brokers, Perkins Slade. The cover in place extended to provide a 24 month Indemnity period but through close co-operation by all concerned it was agreed that the case could be brought to a conclusion a great deal sooner. The resulting Material Damage & Business Interruption claims running into tens of millions of pounds were jointly settled in April 2004 as a negotiated settlement and are now both fully discharged by insurers. We are proud to be associated with the National Motorcycle Museum and its British Heritage and wish them well with their renovation programme which is already well underway with a planned re-opening date penciled in for 1st December 2004.
